Patriots’ Maye discusses why he approves of crew’s prime choose

New England Patriots rookie offensive sort out Will Campbell went viral after they took him with choose No. 4 within the 2025 NFL Draft.

Maye is probably going thrilled that Campbell appears critical about giving him higher cross safety, particularly after he obtained little final season. In 13 video games, the North Carolina product was sacked 34 instances. Per Professional Soccer Reference, New England allowed a 23.7% stress charge in 2024, the league’s eighth-highest mark.

Questions on Campbell’s arm size stay. On the 2025 NFL Scouting Mix, his arms had been measured at 32 5/8 inches. The common arm size of NFL edge-rushers is roughly 34 inches.  

Nonetheless, it did not appear to be an issue when he was at LSU. In three seasons with the Tigers, he was named first-team All-SEC twice and earned a 2024 first-team All-American nod. 

“Look, [Campbell] has already gone in opposition to guys which might be NFL-caliber gamers,” former Patriots O-line coach Dante Scarnecchia, a five-time Tremendous Bowl champion, advised Karen Guregian of MassLive.com in a narrative printed Wednesday. “I believe that is an enormous benefit to him. If Campbell provides Maye extra time to throw subsequent season, maybe he’ll take off in 2025.
