Report: Colts hiring Chris Hewitt as new cross sport coordinator/secondary coach

In accordance with NFL Community’s Tom Pelissero, the Indianapolis Colts are hiring Chris Hewitt as their new cross sport coordinator and secondary coach:

The previous defensive again for the New Orleans (1997-99) has had a prolonged stint as an expert assistant coach for the Baltimore Ravens—having beforehand served as their defensive backs coach (2012-19), cross protection coordinator (2020-21), cross sport coordinator and secondary coach (2022-23), and assistant head coach, cross sport coach, and secondary coach (2024).

It seems as if former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, because the Ravens’ new senior secondary coach, occupied a minimum of a part of the place that Hewitt not too long ago vacated.

Hewitt was a Tremendous Bowl Champion as a member of the Ravens teaching workers in 2021.

The Ravens’ cross protection allowed the 2nd most passing yards at 4,468 final season.

Hewitt is the second reported rent for brand spanking new Colts veteran defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo’s teaching workers, becoming a member of linebackers coach James Bettcher this early offseason.
